ECF™ Western blotting reagent packs use alkaline phosphatase conjugated antibodies to catalyse the formation of stable fluorophores that emit light when scanned by fluorescence scanning equipment. Alkaline phosphatase conjugated secondary antibodies are used for the detection of chemifluorescent proteins immobilised on membranes. The scans are non destructive, allowing continual scanning and accumulation of signal. Most samples can be detected within 5 minutes or can be left longer to maximise sensitivity.
- Sensitivity equivalent to ECL™ detection
- Wider dynamic range of fluorescence scanning systems as compared with film allows visualisation and quantitation of weak and dark bands in the same scan
